[SFGW-SR] ISCA Sustainability Professional Certification 

The [SFGW-SR] ISCA Sustainability Professional Certification equips professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to prepare, interpret and communicate sustainability and climate related disclosures. Aligned to ACRA's Sustainability Reporting Body of Knowledge (SR BOK), the course covers key areas including IFRS S1, IFRS S2, the GHG Protocol, governance and the value of sustainability reporting.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain key sustainability, ESG, and climate-related concepts, including global, regional and Singapore developments and their implications for business, finance and regulatory expectations;
  • Analyse key sustainability reporting requirements and frameworks, including IFRS S1, IFRS S2, GRI, ESRS, SASB and CDP, to determine relevant disclosure considerations for an organisation;
  • Apply sustainability reporting principles to prepare credible and decision-useful disclosures, including materiality assessment, governance, strategy, risks and opportunities, metrics and targets;
  • Apply GHG Protocol requirements to determine reporting boundaries, identify Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions and support the preparation of emissions-related disclosures.
  • Develop practical recommendations for sustainability reporting implementation, including stakeholder engagement, communication of ESG information, assurance-readiness, climate risk responses and net-zero transition planning.

After completing the e-learning and any capstone components, participants will undergo a remotely proctored assessment comprising 80 multiple-choice questions to be attempted within 2 hours. A minimum score of 70% is required to pass and be awarded the [SFGW-SR] ISCA Sustainability Professional Certification.

Frequently Asked Questions

Participants must complete the Programme within 6 months from registration or 1 month after the capstone module, whichever is later.

After the capstone module, participants are required to sit for an assessment. There are 80 questions to be completed within 120 minutes. Participants must achieve at least 70% to pass the assessment. The assessment can be taken remotely and the session uses remote proctoring to validate the identity of the participants and ensure the integrity of the session. If the participant fails the assessment, they need to pay an additional $109 (Inclusive of GST) administration fee for a re-attempt.

Yes. The programme is designed to build progressively, starting from foundational sustainability concepts and moving towards advanced climate reporting and application through the capstone.

The Sustainability Professional Certification focuses on preparing and understanding sustainability and climate reports.
The Sustainability Assurance Professional Certification is a separate, advanced credential focused on providing assurance over sustainability and climate disclosures. Completion of the Sustainability Professional Certification is required before progressing to the Assurance pathway.

The foundational and professional modules are e-learning, while the capstone is a 3-day in-person classroom session.

Each e-learning module comprises of recorded learning videos, interactive activities and reading resources.
