IFRS Sustainability Alliance webinar on how companies are taking steps towards applying IFRS S1 and IFRS S2

The IFRS Sustainability Alliance has announced a webinar in which practitioners from City Developments Ltd (CDL) and DBS Bank discuss best practices and challenges from the 2024 sustainability disclosure reporting cycle. Both CDL and DBS are members of the IFRS Sustainability Alliance, which is a global membership programme for investors, companies and advisors committed to establishing a global baseline for sustainability disclosures to meet capital market needs.

Speakers include:

  • Esther An, Chief Sustainability Officer, City Developments Ltd (CDL);
  • Thomas Milburn, Senior Vice President, Sustainability, DBS Bank; and
  • Neil Stewart, Director of Corporate Outreach, IFRS Foundation.

Both CDL and DBS are working towards voluntarily applying IFRS S1 General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information and IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures. They will discuss their experiences and learnings, including considering interoperability, proportionality mechanisms, transition reliefs and industry-specificity.
